Case Study: Sally Beauty Leadership Summit (online)

When one of the most iconic beauty brands in the world comes to you to produce their first online experience, you get excited. When you realize that they’re asking you to produce an event that is both their first virtual summit and the first time in their over 50 years that they’ve been able to get all their North American managers together- you realize you’re a part of a strong history and you set out to co-create the most dynamic, engaging, exciting, and educationally stimulating experience possible.

Challenges

After decades of in-person experiences, and in the wake of the changing face of events post COVID-19, Sally Beauty Holdings decided to host a first-of-its-kind virtual event experience. By bringing together 5,000 of their leaders for a week-long online summit, SBH kept people connected to the brand, celebrated sponsors, educated and engaged their teams, and embraced the power of the digital experience to bring people together.

Execution

With the vast majority of their coast to coast managers never able to experience Sally HQ, we wanted to bring them all home for a bit of a family reunion. By working alongside the SBH team, we developed an educational strategy, created scripted impact moments, and implemented an overall event strategy. With over 200 breakouts, 40 sponsors, 20 speakers in 10 states and (2 islands), 4 full scenic changes, and robust COVID-19 protocols, this event was one for the books! Driven by the focus to develop and grow leaders and empower them to grow their teams, this inaugural conference has redefined event strategy for the company.

Relevance

We don’t just create big events, we create detailed ways to impact as many people as possible with meaningful moments. We turn those moments into motivations for our clients’ audiences and help them reach and connect with them in ways they could never have imagined.
